I will have to preface this : I *might* be a little obsessed with Annie Sloan's Antibes Chalk Paint. But can you really blame me??? This gorgeous green is pretty much emerald perfection. I want to paint pretty much everything, including my front door with it!! But I digress. Take a look at the enormous change from Before to After!!
For more details on how I got this look, read on!
I painted all over with Antibes, being careful not to overload my brush and push down into all the details. I left them with just a touch of the original wood stain showing through at the recesses. Then I let the first coat dry and dry-brushed on another layer to the whole piece. I still let a little of the original stain show through! Distressing was done on all high points and edges before I sealed the paint.
*I made sure to work quickly, in a well ventilated area.*
After that, I used a small brush to paint on liquid leaf to highlight some beautiful carved accents!! I used a bit of Rub and Buff wax to brighten up the hardware. Gorgeous!
